Photo Tours are for advanced beginner, intermediate, and advanced level photographers who are comfortable with camera principles and techniques - such as aperture / shutter / ISO settings / depth of field. One day photo tours and advanced workshops are limited in size for personal attention and to be less intrusive at photo locations.
Intermediate Level Photography Workshops are 8 hour days with a couple of hours of instruction and several hours of photography. Each covers specifc aspects of photography, such as --- Wide Angle Landscapes, Panoramas, and Depth of Field --- Creative PhotographyTechniques --Understanding the Weather --- Creating a Sense of Place.
The Four and Five Day Outdoor Photography Workshops include a mix of comprehensive instruction, critiques, and photography shoots - and allow you to completely immerse yourself in nature photography and photo techniques in unique natural settings. We are doing a 5 day workshop in Acadia National Park on the spectacular Maine Coast, and we are also doing a 4 and 5 day workshops in the beautiful Adirondack Park.
I want to express my thanks for the class last Sunday. It opened my eyes and mind to being a much better photographer, and not just a picture taker. Each time I go out, the points you made are becoming clearer, as I try to incorporate them into each setting. The camera is an amazing tool, and each day brings a new "Oh Wow!".
I just wanted to thank you again for the great Photoshop for Photographers workshop. Your instruction was wonderful and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. I've been talking your course up to anyone who will listen! I feel like there has been a step-change increase in the quality of my artwork... a real before-and-after situation.
Alan LaBreque - February 2009
I just wanted to thank you for putting on such a great workshop and sharing your knowledge and passion for photography and nature!
I have been reading and re-reading the materials you gave us during the workshop, and can't wait to get back out and practice the skills you taught. I have always read that the best times to photograph nature are at dawn and dusk, and always felt that was the only time to shoot outdoors. You gave me hope and faith that photographs can be taken at anytime as long as you capture the light. And taking photos will be fun again!
